AMD-762™ Northbridge
The AMD-762™ system bus controller features support for the AMD Athlon MP processor, up to 4 Gigabytes of PC2100 DDR memory, and AGP-4x graphics card support. All of these are designed to deliver outstanding computing performance for entry-level 2-way servers and mid-range to high-end dual processor workstations. It also features a faster 266MHz bus, designed to provide up to a 33 percent increase in data throughput compared to existing AMD Athlon processor bus speeds. Includes two separate point-to-point system buses (FSB), DDR memory bus with Error Correction (ECC) support, and incorporates 33MHz/32-bit/64-bit PCI support.
