Absoft
and AMD
Absoft and AMD are working together to bring Absoft’s complete
suite of Fortran toolsets for Linux and Microsoft® Windows® to the x86-64
platform.
The Absoft Pro Fortran64 toolset includes an F95 compiler which
adheres to the latest ISO f95 standards. The compiler incorporates a version
of the Cray CF90 front end, with extensions from all popular workstations and
mainframes. The Linux version conforms to LSB standards and is link and debug compatible
with gcc, g77 and other standards common on Linux. The Windows version includes
a complete IDE, is link and debug compatible with Microsoft C and provides full
access to the Windows API from Fortran.
Special attention is being paid to enable optimal performance of
compiled code and ease of porting applications from 32 bit to 64 bit systems.
Graphics, IMSL single and double precision math and stat libraries and tools
for SMP, OpenMP, and clusters environments will also be offered.
Absoft Fortran64 tools are fully source compatible with Absoft 32
bit toolsets for Windows, Macintosh and Linux. Retargeting code between platforms
using Absoft tools is designed to be a trivial matter. End user support, service
packs and bug fixes are included at no additional charge for current registered
users. To subscribe to the Absoft electronic newsletter visit: http://www.absoft.com/bulletin.html.
