- Proposed directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (product take-back and end-of-life treatment requirements).
ROHS:
- Proposed directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (restricts use of Pb, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and certain halogenated flame retardants (PBB, PBDE).
- Proposed exemptions include Pb in high melting temperature solder.
