MigraTEC
and AMD
AMD and MigraTEC have partnered to help customers take full advantage of the
AMD processors based on Hammer technology which incorporates AMD's x86-64 technology.
AMD's unique approach to 64-bit computing enables customers to continue using
32-bit software on platforms based on AMD's new 64-bit enabled processors. When
customers are ready to take advantage of the new chips' 64-bit capabilities,
they can migrate their current 32-bit applications to 64-bit using automated
migration solutions provided by MigraTEC. At the core of these solutions is
MigraTEC's 64ExpressTM migration software, which automates the migration of
applications from 32 to 64 bit, reduces the risk typically associated with a
migration, and cuts the time and cost of an application migration by 70%. AMD
and MigraTEC provide a clear, cost-effective and comprehensive path to 64-bit
computing, by offering a flexible hardware platform backed up by a predictable
and efficient path to migrate applications to 64-bit.
MigraTEC has two lines of C/C++ application migration products. Its 32Direct
line of cross-platform solutions facilitates the migration of applications between
32-bit platforms, such as from Solaris to Windows or from Solaris to Linux.
64Express automates the migration of 32-bit applications so they can perform
on 64-bit platforms such as systems based on the AMD Opteron and next-generation
Athlon processors.
