Numerical Algorithms Group

Numerical Algorithms Group and AMD

NAG is working closely with AMD to produce numerical libraries for the x86-64 architecture of AMD's eighth-generation processors.

The Numerical Algorithms Group specializes in the provision of numerical and statistical components to aid the solving of complex mathematical problems. These, together with the components and other services NAG offers are widely used by companies and institutions across a diverse range of industries to enrich their applications in areas such as financial analysis, science, engineering and research.

Numerical Libraries

NAG's numerical libraries are developed to exacting standards. NAG offers libraries in Fortran 77, Fortran 90 and C, as well as an SMP Library and a Parallel Library for shared memory and distributed memory parallel computing. The numerical components can be embedded into a wide variety of applications and programs, including Delphi, Visual Basic, VBA, Excel, Fortran and C/C++.

Data Mining Components

Specifically developed for the rigors of data mining, NAG's Data Mining Components - statistical and machine learning software - are robust, reliable and accurate. Easy to integrate and use, they can be used at each stage of the modeling process - from data cleaning through data transformation to model building.

Statistical Software

NAG offers a range of statistical software to help harness the power of quality statistics whether it is a self-contained PC application such as GenStat庐, GLIM, Statistical Add-Ins for Excel, or NAG numerical libraries.

Visualization Software

Industry, universities and research institutes rely upon NAG visualization software to bring their complex data to life. For those who need a powerful and flexible 3D visualization application, IRIS Explorer(tm) is the most advanced visual programming environment for 3D data visualization, animation and manipulation available today. The NAG Graphics Library and 3D MasterSuite(tm) are also available for developers using Fortran 77 and C++ respectively.

Numerical Simulation

Fastflo is a flexible 3D finite element software package designed for numerical simulation and rapid prototyping applications in engineering, manufacturing, research and teaching. With Fastflo, users can easily specify a wide range of partial differential equation models and design solution algorithms to solve geometrically complex 3D problems.

Compilers & Tools

To complement the numerical and statistical components, NAG offers an extensive range of Compilers and Tools including the NAGWare Fortran Compiler, NAGWare Fortran Tools and the MATLAB Foundation Toolbox for programmers in commercial and academic areas.

Consulting

NAG's numerical and statistical experts are available to ensure that developers receive the maximum return on investment in NAG products. This includes providing assistance in project management and developing custom components.
