Don't get distracted by how you can solve their situation right away, hear them out.

Supply your customer with details

  • Provide your customer with confidence
  • Sell the benefit
    • Make feature relevant to what customer wants
    • Turn feature into benefit

  • Always answer customer's two key questions: What are the features, and What can they do for me?

  • Avoid using jargon if customer is not knowledgable
  • Keep it simple--avoid being overly technical

Be prepared to answer objections

  • Remember, this is not an attack. It is a question.
  • Take advantage of this opportunity to display your expertise.
  • Use APAC system:
    • Acknowledge--Use phrases like, "I appreciate your concern." And, "That's a common concern."
    • Probe--Use open-ended questions to get to the heart of the objection.
    • Answer--Stress benefits while answering.
    • Confirm--(This is the most important.) Ensure the customer is satisfied with your answer.

Close the Sale.
If you have established a rapport, properly identified the customer's needs, and introduced solutions, then the close should come automatically.
